A classic country kitchen in porcelain and navy blue

This kitchen is in a beautiful small single-storey cottage, nestled in the countryside with a breathtaking outlook. It was essential to make the most of these views from the rear of the property and create a feeling of space whilst cooking.

The family were keen cooks who spent a lot of time in the kitchen, so they wanted to include a pantry with adequate bespoke storage and open shelving, but with minimal wall units. They also wanted plenty of worktop space to prepare meals.

We chose the Mornington Shaker by Second Nature to maintain the same beautiful style of their property. The Porcelain and Storm Blue added colour and character to the space, which we teamed with a timeless solid oak worktop and Belfast sink.

Comments from the customer
We have been very impressed with The Pentland Kitchen Company and would definitely use them again.

Michael and the team were patient, knowledgeable and generous with their time and skills to talk us through the various options and permutations facing us in installing a kitchen into a new room.  We never felt rushed, and always felt that we had the space to take our time to make an informed decision.  Michael provided good advice when we were trying to balance our desired preferences with the reality of our budget as we changed our minds.  We were confident that we’d made good decisions on paper.

Pentland also advised us on potential installers, and particularly as our new kitchen would be in a different room to the old one, they suggested installers that would happily take ownership of plumbing and underfloor heating too.  The installer we chose, James Blair, did an excellent job with his team and we now have a beautiful kitchen that is even better in reality than it is on paper.
