Review of a Crazy Year

Do you remember a time when Corona was a poor choice of lager?

Back in February, when we were all on Aaron’s stag do no one could have predicted that a couple of pints in the Chinese restaurant was going to be our last drink anywhere but the house for nearly 6 months.

As the biggest health scare of our generation, the pandemic has caused untold upset and forced us to change many plans, but as I look back on the crazy year that was 2020, I have to say it’s not all bad.

We’ve had to take a change of mindset, a fresh approach to how we do things here. And some of those changes have actually been pretty good!

Let’s face it, a 2020 review wouldn’t be complete without checking in on Leon’s extension progress! He’s done well since Lockdown, cracking on with the upstairs on weekends and evenings. If you’ve missed his previous updates, you can read part 1 and part 2 here.

Back in the spring, when it wasn’t safe to visit people’s homes, we invited prospects to our Covid safe kitchen showroom first, which was a change of approach. But you prefer it! Getting to see what we have to offer, browse displays and samples and have a chat with us about their plans (socially distanced, of course).

To use a bit of a nerdy word, we’re taking a more ‘holistic’ approach to kitchen design.
2020 has forced us back to our homes, and our kitchens have needed to work much harder for us.

Cooking, working, home-schooling, and for the less fortunate amongst us, even DIY barbering…
Customers want a solution that will tick every box in their lifestyle needs. Open plan living? Yep. Maximum storage? Absolutely. Kitchen island? If there’s space, definitely.

So, we’re asking the right questions, we’ve adapted our kitchen designs to suit this, and using the very best from Second Nature kitchens to exceed these expectations.

It goes without saying, we are ready and prepared for all that 2021 has to offer.
