March Project Showcase
There’s something about green kitchens that just feels right. They bring warmth, depth and character to a space, while still feeling calm and timeless. Our recent project in Liberton is a perfect example of how to use colour confidently without overpowering a room.
For this kitchen, we chose Second Nature’s Porter range in Matt Regiment – a shade that has become incredibly popular, and for good reason. It’s a versatile green that pairs effortlessly with a wide range of finishes. Whether you want to introduce warm woods, cool stone surfaces or brushed metallic accents, Matt Regiment provides the perfect foundation. It’s bold enough to make a statement, yet subtle enough to live with for years to come.

To complement the cabinetry, we used Milano Quartz worktops, supplied by Stoneworld Ltd. Quartz is always a smart choice for busy households. It’s hard-wearing, low-maintenance, and resistant to stains and scratches, making it ideal for a space that’s used every day. The soft tones of the Milano Quartz work beautifully with the green cabinetry, creating a balanced, cohesive look.
Appliances are by NEFF and fully integrated throughout the design. Keeping everything built in allows the cabinetry to take centre stage and maintains a clean, uncluttered look. Even the extractor fan is subtly hidden behind cabinetry, ensuring nothing interrupts the overall flow of the space. It’s these considered details that elevate a kitchen from functional to exceptional.
We also incorporated a Blanco Tampera hot tap, giving instant boiling water on demand. It’s one of those features that once you have it, you wonder how you ever managed without it. From making tea and coffee to speeding up cooking prep and washing up, it adds genuine everyday convenience.
Light was another important factor in this design. Glass splashbacks reflect light beautifully, helping to keep the space feeling bright and fresh. They also offer a sleek, easy-to-clean surface that works perfectly in a practical family kitchen. To soften the overall look and introduce warmth, we added open wooden shelving. These shelves break up the run of cabinetry and provide the perfect place to display everyday items, cookbooks or decorative pieces, adding personality to the room.

Practicality remained at the heart of the layout. A dedicated space for the washer ensures that functionality is built into the design without compromising on style. We also made storage out of every available space, carefully planning each cabinet to maximise capacity. From cleverly positioned drawers to well-thought-out corner solutions, every inch has a purpose.
This Liberton kitchen is a great example of how thoughtful design, quality materials and attention to detail come together to create a space that not only looks fantastic but works effortlessly for modern life.
If you’re considering a new kitchen and want something that feels both current and timeless, green might just be the perfect place to start.
