Our kitchen trend predictions for 2022
January is the perfect time to take stock of the year just gone, and focus on the new exciting stuff our suppliers from Second Nature have to offer.
The popularity of the blue kitchen in 2021
Last year saw a surge in demand for blue kitchens. In particular, the Hartforth blue kitchen paired with a white quartz worktop was extremely popular.
For us, a particular favourite blue choice is the classic Mornington shaker in Ives blue and inkwell (seen below).
The beauty of both these kitchens is their simplicity and versatility. They lend themselves to many home styles and look beautiful mixed with many different colours and materials.

You can still expect to fit this kitchen a lot for the foreseeable, as we don’t see this trend dying out any time soon!
A kitchen with a matt finish will continue to be popular
Another big trend we’re predicting for the new year is the rise in matt finishes. This finish adds an injection of modern style to a traditional design yet also looks great in a contemporary kitchen.
The Porter kitchen from Second Nature in matt cashmere is a perfect example, seen below, along with a herringbone parquet floor (another key trend for 2022!)
